spent half a day cleaning my whole tank. neglected it for some time thus the algae bloom.

found out that my 5 month old boy like to see the fishes, so had to cleanup to give him a better view... hahaha

my tank is 42x30x24 inches and I'm using a 250w MH at 14k.

livestock I'm looking at are fish and some LPS.

Is my 250w MH lighting overkill for my setup?

if I would like to convert to LEDs, what should I go for? totally clueless about LEDs.
