Just got 2 cyannaria recently, place them on sand bed like my prata.....low light, low flow area. Yet they r not opening but my prata r doing & opening very good. Any solution?

How long have you got them for? 1-2 days? 3-4 days? They may take some time to open up. Are any of your fishes pecking it?

Give it another 24-48 hrs.

got it for 5 days already. Only 1st day my tang peck on it but stop liao. Just open a little bit & still able to see the tip of the skeleton leh....target feed them with brine shrimp as well. They r small in size & pinkish colour. still waiting for it to open.

if it still dun open for another week...try to change the position.. maybe it dun lyk the place....my red cyannaria took more den 4 daes to open up fully..

May be it's damage from lfs or anything.

you can feed it at night for helping it to recover fast

My cynarina didn't open when I put it on the sandbed. Only when I moved it up close to the top near the 250w MH, then it started to open up nicely. So I'm not sure if it is true that cynarina doesn't like strong light.

Same thing goes with my red prata.

hi patrick, i juz bought a red cynarina frm a fellow reefer 2daes back n it open real HUGE but e wan i bought frm farm did nt reali open till nw frm my point of view is due 2 e LS itself n nt e position(i may b wrong). can any expert out there advise?

Many factors can lead to the health and expandsion of the corals...With TLC(Tender Loving Care) in your tank, They will open up well in just a matter of days.

for mine prata n cyannarias...i drip marine snow 1 in every 3 daes..expand big when during dripping period...

Cut e mkt prawn into small pieces n put it on e mouth lor.... yumyum

Usually e mkt prawn will b stick to their mouth or parts of their fresh n they will slowly bring it to their mouth n swallow.

They swallow it beri slowly one so if u got CS u better feed them 1st...keke
