it might be, gonna take some reading on the next water change. :(

if turely so, then will look into changing salt brand.

BTW, any1 had a good salt brand to recommend me. Salt must have the

trace elements and must have a good value for Mg, Ca, dKH and pH.

Will recommend you to increase the Mg and Ca on a alternate day basis (one day Mg, one day Ca) until Ca = 420ppm and Mg 1300ppm.

ok bros, will do.

while adding Mg and Ca (alternate day), shld I continue to does Kalk, or

stop dosing Kalk?

:thanks:

Ca and Mg seems a little low while kH is close to NSW levels.

Will recommend you to increase the Mg and Ca on a alternate day basis (one day Mg, one day Ca) until Ca = 420ppm and Mg 1300ppm.

agreed...

up the Mg and Ca first...

then kH, sure work!

technically and fundamentally true, get the Mg to stay in the desired healthy level, then bring up the kH and Ca accordingly

juz measured the coral life saltwater mixture with DI water.

saltwater left overnight to stablize

measurement taken at room temperature

salinity @ 1.025

Ca - 480+ (might be more than 480 coz two drops and TM test kit

turn colorless)

Mg - 1200 (below expectation) :(

pH - 8.3

dkH - 7 :(

BTW, can any bros help to test their newly mixed saltwater parameter

for comparision. Thanks.

newly mixed saltwater must be left over-night for it to stablise before

testing. Very interested in results of Tropic Marine salt, AquaC ME,

Kent etc

thanks
