waht is dolly at the first place???....u mean the regal tang....hmmz...

firstly...for some of the hermits..they are not reef safe n tend to bite corals... ;)

trace elements, calcium, magnesium & strontium are supplements for corals...

temperature plays an important role in sustaining the coral..

lightings is important for corals...try to have a mixture of blue and white..

do partial water change 10% weekly if u do not have a protein skimmer.....if u do own one....water change can be drag up to 2-3wks....but that depends on ur tank size...if it is a pico tank....weekly water change is necessary to restore the depleted supplements level... :D

hope it helps...my 2 cents..

Dolly in 1.5ft tank !?

:pinch: A little cramp don't U think?

Since U have 1.5ft, I believe U not running air-con right?

Temp will be a concern. (should be below 28 from what i heard)

My 1.5ft is about 29++, my 2ft is 31++.(no fan or air-con)

If U running fan, do remember to top up water daily.

(To maintain salinity)

Ur snails for cleaning tank wall !?

IMO 1 is enough. 2 .... dunno got enuff to eat a not.

Hermits need change shell when growing.

Pls put some spare shells in for them.

They are not very reef safe so best U keep a look out.

Maintainance and info .... Just do a google search. :D

Lastly, welcome to the softies club.

Me like mushies lots.

Having a protein skimmer is better....Just a cheapo 1 will do.'SEASON' Live Rock to be added in ur tank to help build up more bacteria in ur tank.

Do a 10% water change 2-3 weeks.

Add Trace element to ur tank to replenish wat is need for ur coral and fishes.

Light is the most important source for ur coral (dun ever miss this out).

for at least a 2 ft tank....T5s retrofits are gd enough and it provides better ventilation....note that some T5s tend to produce more heat due to bad ventialtion..

not to mention...tmr is 24-26 degrees...HAHA!!!...
