hmm.. is jellyfish reef safe? those blue and white colour.. last time use to seen shops selling but not seldom.. what do they feed on?

chk ard ... u need a special tank to keep jellyfish... otherwise no pt, u'll only end up killing them.... i m one of the culprits in the past...

jelly fish(those u see in stores) live span is very short , typically around 4 weeks.... and need special filter system to prevent being shredded...

There are other breeds of jelly fish that have significantly longer live span but not suitable for reef tanks, too huge and have powerful stings.

they are very elegant creature though; there is a public aquarium in california which showcase jelly fishes; they are channel in from the ocean and then returned back regularly; evidence that they cannot be kept

i dun agree that jellyfish have short lifespan in marine aquarium....if u are free...go to the tank at gotham penthouse...the jellyfishes are more den 1 yr already... im sure they nv change the jellyfish becos my dad maintain the tank for them.... :D

talking about jellyfishes,

the other day at east coast....

i was swimming out lahz, we were doing some silly filming for my project, a whole group of us, acting like we were drowning... as i was swimming out and checking the depth of the waters....

i saw.. :shock: a jellyfish, bobbing around my waist level, about a feet away..... ahhh!!!!

chiong ah.... try to move away in a controlled manner.... then chiong back to shore!!!

hehe... call me hum ji or whatever lahz.. but i didn't wanna get stung...

anyone got stung before?
