Hi bros, pls comment on which is more cost effective / more powerful between the 2. From what I know the Eheim is 3800 l/hr vs 4900 l/hr, consumption is 80W vs 50W. At a height of say 5ft above the sump which pump would give more flow into the tank? Also I believe the Rio is cheaper. tks

I have never had an eheim pump breaking down on me. I use eheim strictly for my core/ essential services- chiller pump, return pump. I worry about tank , piping leak, overflow choke, but never even thought about my eheims giving me trouble. I have heard of them running for a decade with no problems.

In the end, go for a pump you are comfortable with :)
