Correct me if I am wrong. Cured live rock means semi dead or dead live rock.

Where by there are no living organism maybe except for bacteria live form.

Living organism such as hitch hikers, coral, sponge etc will die off during the process of curing.

When you add cured live rocks to your tank the ammonia, nitrate and nitrite spikes are lower. But cured liverock are not cheap also as the process of curing cost is high. It is worth investing on cured live rocks.
