Culturing Frag to bare LR

I have 2 large piece of LR or semi dead rock that is bare, only very little coraline. One with fine/little pot hole and the other lots of pot holes.

I converted FOWLR to LPS for 3 months and everything healthy. But only 3 coral types.

Now I want to populate this 2 large rocks with coral.

Was thinking of:

1. frag mushroom or ric to the pot hole rocks

2. placing star polyps near the other fine/little pot hole rock so that it will spread to it.

Anyone have better corals suggestion for me to acheive the above??? :D

yup, strong current on star polyps would encourage it to propragate faster

:D Just got my Bali star polyps today and place it at the top of the big solid stone. I will keep an eye on it now.

I bought the star polyps in Nov place it at the place I want it to spread.

These are the bright green GSP that will not spread so fast. The dull ones spread faster. When I first bought the GSP.

my 4 over months old green poly star seemed to be doing well in very low flow area... don't think they really need high water flow condition...can some reefer verify it?

Hrmz, Live Aquaria says they like medium to strong flow. I have a few pieces i my tank. They are doing well in both the high and low flows area. Its quite an easy coral to keep in my opinion. :) I guess the higher flow might help in preventing algae growing over and covering up the polyps.

They dun seems to care but strong flow promotes the spread to other rocks.
