If they are snicking at Pods den you might have a good chonce of getting them to feed.. Try those FW glass shrimp... chose 1-2bag with small shrimp and add them to your tank.. They will start eating sooner or later... continue to feed live brinshrimp..

for tiger tail, it hard to train them to eat.. and they are difficult to feed on.. so if they not eating.. prepare liao.. and wad terry sae is true lah.. but fresh water shrimps from the fish shop, choose the smallest among the shrimps and feed on them..

Hmmm...sometimes seahorses can get confused if too much brine shrimp are swimming around..they won't know which one to go for. Brine shrimp and f.w shrimp won't sustain seahorses for long, best if you can wean them onto frozen mysis. Check out Chinmo's thread on weaning seahorses. Meanwhile enrich your brine shrimp with DHA Selco if you can.

Always something more important than fish.

my pet seahorses did suck out the flesh out of the freshwater shrimp. leaving behind only the shell..............

after each seahorses managed to get for themselves medium size fw shrimp, they just hang around.........maybe too full?..........but now observed tiny crustaceans on tank surface seem to have diminished.....not as much when tank in cycling period....those seahorses really ###### out the tiny creature.

if they poo...saw a thread-like white stuff together with those bit 'crushed' undigestive shell......now still trying to feed them will frozen mysis shrimp......

now and then let frozen mysis shrimp float in front of them......they will direct their snout at the shrimp....ready to strike.. but back out few minutes later when they realised the shrimp is not alive....hmmmm...

will keep trying to train them to take 'dead' food....in the mean time, first priority is maintaining the tank to tiptop condition so that tiny crustacean is always available for them to nibble.

Hi Spoon,

Adding more aglae would made training more difficult. Chinmo was very successful because he uses bare bottom tank and minimum decor. Current would carry the defrozed mysis dead swimming and that play a very important initial lureing.... Subsequently any falling dead mysis would do.

Cheer! :)

I'm curious... is the wood safe for marine or in this case seahorses?
