i used a small amt to start my water process instead of the market prawn method. Cuz the dying parts inside the LR provides suffient ammonia to kick start the cycle.

but i used only about 5-8 kg back then. If you're talkin bout ur whole landscape of rocks, i suggest you scrub off the grim and slime from the rocks

when I started had a rock that was so smelly that had no choice but to throw away a rock..A few of my buddies also did the same thing..

It's normally the smell from all the rotting sponges that most probably died during the transportation process.

People who acquire LRs are often concerned with how to cure their LRs. However, they often forget the correct process on the transportation of the LRs. Do not leave the LRs in the hot sun in your car when you're buying them from the LFS. Some people even say that putting it in the car-boot is a no-no! They should be placed in an opened styrofoam box in the car, away from direct sun-light.

Alot of organisms die from the journey home from the LFS, which causes the LRs to smell.

That just because someone doesn’t love you the way you want them to,

doesn’t mean they don’t love you with all they have.
