SRC Member spawns Posted November 8, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted November 8, 2005 IMHO,bidding at this "Sell off/Pasar Malam Shop" forum causes less good n more controversy to alot of bidders/sellers(just c the recent threads if u don’t believe me). I hv to admit that I ,sometimes hv the urge to bid for something in the forum but the words that always popping out in my mind saying” AM IM PAYING TOOOO MUCH?” restrain me to do so…. y cant just we all do or practice like we all normally do the old ways. is the new bidding systems somehow improve the productivity or just keeping good sucess rates by keeping out the unlicense pilots/aroplane flyers from biddings? This is mi opinion only….not trying to pointing anybody…. Cheers …………………………………………………………………

SRC Member weisoon Posted November 10, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted November 10, 2005 Just 1 question for the mods.....when I login to this thread, it says that I have already voted for this poll. However, I did not even read the thread until now. Somehow, is there a breach in my pass word/ account such that someone has used my account to cast a vote? Anyway to check? DeepBlue
SRC is not Yahoo Auction or Ebay. Simple as that. JC that is the point.... sell what you think may not suit your tank or outgrow your tank space... IMO... no need to go for a bidding system.... (it may create unnecessary rise in price of corals and generate a false value of what a coral may really worth, thus misleading beginning hobbyists) if you want that little attention to your corals, my suggestion is to put a REASONABLE cap to the bid, let the buyer pm you for a buyout. some suggestions..may want to consider a little
SRC Member tineng Posted November 10, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted November 10, 2005 normally i think its ok, as i do enjpy the fun of winning something through auction (i have won, TV, computers and drinks before...)... but the way things are aheading are simply not right....in a number of auction you see newbie, who can't even correctly identify - in the end it looks like they are pulling a fast one. Of course there are a few who i really suspect are trying to pull a fast one here, but i guess SRC is always petrol by Superman and batman to take care of that.... Achilles Tang
Bidding will cause artificial inflation and send the wrong signals outside that because of a few rich people who are either too lazy to shop or too ignorant that ordinary stock does not even cause that much but are simply too KS to stop, that the rest of us can afford an increase in prices because "You can have people willing to pay 5x more than market rate". My 2 cents. Now, who wants to bid for my skimmer.... ? starting price:$
