I spent the WE trying to get my server up and gave up. I'm not even sure if you guys could access the pics in the last few post of my tank thread, cause no one replied to say the links don't work; from my estate, using someone's stray wireless a/c, I could get the pics up,... so I think its all Starhub fault.

Anyway here it is : Living Stones, let me know what you think. I'm a no good photographer, :) and yes the glass needs a real good clean.

Hey madmac,

need to check with you- whats sequential on your tunze controller? What exactly does it do? And any particular reason for this config: Set to sequential, socket 1 empty; 2 left pump; 3 is right pump;4 empty?

Thanks- trying to make sense of my own 7094.

Ok, in sequential mode, the cycle moves like this :

Socket 1: Socket 2: Socket 3: Socket 4

First cycle:

ON: OFF: OFF: OFF

2nd Cycle:

ON: ON: OFF: OFF

3rd Cycle :

ON: ON: ON: OFF

4th Cycle :

ON: ON: ON: ON:

If S1 is set to 10 secs

then S2 comes on it will be 20 secs

S3's turn will be 40 secs

S4's turns is 80 secs

When S1 is empty, it means there will be no flow at all for 10 secs

then in S2 comes on, it will turn on ONLY the left pump for 20 secs

When S3 comes on, both streams will be ON for 40 secs for turbulent flows

As S4 is empty, it will mean the both the streams will continue for another 80 secs.

If you connect as such, you create as much 'logical' random combination as possible with only two streams.

I hope you understand. :) I am simply trying to get as much out of the pumps as possible.

[edit:'logical' as in binary logic-no flow for 10 secs is flow, jus decelerating only]

I know I'm lousy at explaining... perhaps some who understands can better explain.

and I'm glad you asked because it took me a while to understand how to program it...

if you like to copy, then remember you'll have to remove your photo-electric cell connection... otherwise it won't work well. With it connected, and when theres no light, only S1 will turn ON and if that socket is empty, then there will no flow until the lights are on again... gee I hope I don't confuse you further.

Be careful when you put the tunze in Sequence or hi-low tide mode. As there are times when the tunze is not moving at all, and if the tunze get jammed by a snail or something, you could potentially burn the transformer or the circuitry box.

This is what happened to me. Now I always ensure that my tunze is turning at all time, high or low speed.

Regards,

Patrick

Thx for that, it has happend once before... my snails mostly come out at night, but the Tunze triggers an alarm when the propeller stops... which alerts me that something not right... the wonders of Tunze...

That's good for you. In my case, the alarm didn't go off and the tunze just stopped working and the transformer was very very hot. Turned out that I need to replace the circuitry box cost me $100+.

Lucky I discovered it early enough. Otherwise may have to replace a burned transformer too. :(

sorry to hear about that. It must be very unfortunate for that to happen. Right now, most of the snails are either too big to enter the entrance or because of their shapes they can't. The last one that manage to enter was a zebra snail. Anyway the time-out is set at 5 secs, so they had better be quick, or be blown out.
