overnite water is jus to bring down the chlorine and maybe a little of NO3.. :D

wad does po4 do? only bring nuisance algae right ?

dun worry abt the phosphate....let the water run in ur tank for 1-2 daes...

use saltmix that are low in phosphates...best to use tropicmarin IMO..

later on..add some phosguard or rowa...den let it cycle for another 1 wk..

live rocks can be added to start the cycling process... :lol:

Did you do chemistry in sec sch??? Distill water means

Boiling water -> Steam -> Distil water (100% pure water).

You got a lot of work to do... <_<

nakazura is right. Distilled water is the water collected from condensation of boiling water.

You can still use tap water and add salt and let it cycled, if you want to add something more, you could add those commercial pre-treatment solution to tap water that helps to remove chlorine and some heavy metal (Sera has one and some other brands has this as well). But you got to add this treatment solution before you add in your marine salt.

Yes if you just use as top-up water, otherwise you need to add salt mah.

if u scare PO4....

you can only do these few things to be sure no po4...

1) get DI unit.

2) get RO/DT unit.

I think it is better to use a FR with Rowaphos, let it run.

I beg to differ on that

PO4 should not be allowed to accumulate in your system and it is really advisable to run rowa once your tank is filled with water.

ANN will resolve on their own and more concern should be put to reducing PO4 in a new tank.
