Was browsing www.tunze.com and stumble upon a new series of =-infoxunter028]skimmer.

Did a serach in RC and came upon this thread.

Anyone have any experience?

Judging from the replies by Roger Vitko of Tunze USA, seems that this new kid is a good bet! ;)

Hi Zorden,

Think hard to get respond since it is a very new product.

I am very interested if I can't get good price/stock for my 1st choice skimmer.

How about you? I see you posting the 9020, are you planning to get that? ;)

Yo bro,

Finally can break away from fatherhood for awhile is it? kekekeke :P:P

Anyway, couldn't get a fare judgment from RC or other sites. But got news is the Reef depot will be bring in the Comline aka DOC skimmer. Price wise was quite attractive, I must say.

Hi Bro?

How's things with you?

Yah loh, fatherhood is not easy, I thought I will have some time for myself last week since I only work on 31/10/05.

Wanted to spend some time doing some maintenance work. But little do I know, I ended up spending more time on Artemas than on my hobby!

DA can attest to it cuz I dun even have time to go out with him after he jio me. :(

But I must say, I am still happy cuz I have had some quality time with him. :P

Hope to have more info on this skimmer, please update this thread if you do come across any info.

TIA ;)

9020 can run 528 gallons. Keep in mind the rating is for fish only or soft coral tanks, for SPS cut the ratring by 40%, for heavy loads of fish and SPS 60%. The DOC skimmer classic should not be used on heavily loaded tanks and for serious SPS systems are considered an expert only skimmer.

If I am not wrong, he is commenting on the DOC Skimmer Classic is not reccommended for SPS dominated tanks and not the DOC Skimmer Comline.

From what I know, the Classic are developed quite long ago catering for Soft Corals tanks which are in demand then.

Since the late 90s as reefing choices increases and demand to have low nutrients environment becomes very common thus Tunze developed the new Comline product line.

Maybe we should post this questions to Roger at RC so that he could clear our doubts once and for all. Or maybe Reef Depot will like to address this concern, I am sure there are many eyeing of this wonderful product from such a reliable company. ;)

hey, extracted this little para from tunze site abt their skimmer

In practice it can be observed that the absorbed matter is torn off the air bubbles again by skimmers with a tall reaction chamber. For this reason, all TUNZE® DOC skimmers have very short reactors with a high air throughput .

Isn't it opposite to what we'r taught ???

tall reaction chamber = longer contact time???
