But the Octo in the movie clip is the Giant Octo.. I wonder how big those buggas can grow up to.

fishtalk1517: Ever identified your Octo yet?

have not identify the name yet. But can be commonly found here. So far, I have seen even bigger ones, same species as mine at Elias park. It was fish out of the water by a fisherman

He even says can fetch him a few dollars at a marine LFS near the park <_<

like..the octopi can eat up a whole shark..

maybe it will have a lil change in menu and have homosapiens instead?..lol

wonder how the divers changed the tank for the giant octo ..... scarifice a few tourists 1st?

Maintance Diver: "free diving in our display tank !! We need a lucky individual !!"

Clueless tourist:"Me! Me!"

Maintance Diver: " yes !! u are the lucky one"

.

Yet another tourist suckered into being free food/ offerings for safe transportation of the octo ...:lol:

fishtalk1517: I see~ But has it grown bigger yet, ever since you first got it? I bet it has grown bigger, considering how much you've been feeding it! :)

Have grown abit... Have been feeding him market prawns once every two days.... I have tried feeding him with crabs from LRs. Guess wat..... The reaction is much fastercompared to eating the prawn. It straight-away grab the crab and shaft it in his mouth, in a real fast manner. :o

Now whenever u tried to put ur fingers near the fellow, the tentacles would stetch out to stick on ur fingers and he will tried to pull towards it. Treating my fingers like his food.

one of these day...a news report of a man eater octo found in singapore with the owner missing.....:D:P

Hahaha Good to hear that the Octo is doing well in your hands, otherwise, it would have turnt into bait by the fisherman! Perhaps, you can one day set a nice 1-2ft swee swee tank for it where it can hunt its own live prey.

Hi bro wil_lee,

So u will know how to answer to the authorities for me when no trace of my whereabouts ah should I be found missing at home :P

Carynn,

the 1-2 ft tank for the octo? maybe got to fix the main tank first... Sigh taking too long liao.... Went to collect my red prata skeleton from Joshua jus now. :cry2:

but octo's live VERY deep in the sea lehz. looks a bit fake to me lehz...

hmm.. can other's verify?? =)

The Octopus: The word octopus means "eight feet." Octopuses are solitary, eight-armed animals that live on the ocean floor. There are over 100 different species of octopuses. The Giant Octopus is the biggest octopus. This huge mollusk is up to 23 ft (7 m) from arm tip to arm tip, weighing up to 400 pounds (182 kg). The smallest is the Californian octopus, which is only 3/8 inch (1 cm) long.

These giant octos lives deep in the pacific ocean. deep in water below hundreds of metres deep. :o

For the little fellow that I'm keeping, its just a common octo found mainly near shallow water aorund the island. Here's a pic
