Zoanthid Tentacles

I've always wanted to ask this question:

Q: Why is it that for some zoos, the tentacles would start to get shorter and shorter until it appears so small and stout?

I know it may be due to different currents/lightings however what are the EXACT conditions leading to my zoos ILL-FATE!!!

And i would be asking why mine will start getting longer and longer till it looks unsightly..

Hmm..yeap i'm sure..but for only some zoos, as they are located at diff regions of the tank

It could be your lighting, or could be fishes like angels would occationally nip on them.

There is no angels in my nano, but therez defiantely a pesky peculiar clown.

Hosting on the zoos as if it is an anemone
