The exact width is 37". That gives you 1" spacing on both ends.

bro, those DC adaptors have a very simple wiring inside that white box. I'm sure it'll fit inside the trunking. so what you can do is run a parallel line to the input of the adaptor. if you open that adaptor, you'll find 2 wires that are attached to the male terminals, so remove that male termnals and attach the wires directly. that'll still be neat cause they'll all be inside the trunking. just my 2 cents worth

supremo: Hey, good idea I might just do that should I decide to add the fan but for now after running for couple of days the trunking temperature is only between 34-35c.

an idea. maybe u can use those heat sink to reduce the heat issue... so e.g.stick a heat sink on the top of the ballast and then cut open a hole on top to let the heat sink exporse to the outside thus help cool down the ballast.
