SRC Member reeftask Posted October 28, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted October 28, 2007 i notice that the white spots tend or only appear at night on the fish. during day time the fish seems perfectly fine no white spots on the body at all. any theory for this? theory is your light or your eyes way of looking when the light is shading. SRC Member mopiko Posted October 28, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted October 28, 2007 impossible. the light is on even in day time. i can even detect a change of 5% less magenta in ink pigment much lesser light shades. LOL

SRC Member reeftask Posted December 13, 2007 SRC Member Share Posted December 13, 2007 hi. every place can give you the best price. as we are buying pets here. its best to find more stablise fish rather then spend it on cheaper fish and let it die on you. actually every LFS has stable fishes. Fishes become unstable during transportation and new home or environment. Price is more important. Then secondly, check the fish status before buying, ignore the LFS staffs. Every LFS can tell you that they have the best and all that BS to make you buy. However there are 2 LFS I rated better in terms of sincerity than other LFS, they are ML and LCK110. Price wise is a bit more but sometimes these LFS makes me happy so I buy. I just dont like LFS over-bluff me which will make me walk away. Dispar_Anthias
Any suggestions on a good tang for a 3x2x2 tank? Those from the bristle tooth or zebrasoma would be much suitable for a tank of that size
SRC Member Underwater Posted January 8, 2010 SRC Member Share Posted January 8, 2010 Surprised to see high votes for archilles tang and powder blue tang since the poll is also on hardiest and easy to keep tangs. Hope it doesn't mislead new reefers as both these 2 tangs are not easy to keep compare to the rest, though no doubts they are very beautiful and gorgeous. naivete
If i had the money, i would get a Gem tang. second would be achillies. third would be powder blue, forth would be clown tang. fifth would be Yellow tang. I have kept a clown tang before for 1 1/2 years before i sold it to one of my reefer friends. its quite stunning and easily become the king of the tank. got it quite small at 2 1/2 inches and grew to around 6.5 inches in 1 year.
