for a small tank like yours best get a hang on or external one that wont take up too much space in the tank

Regarding that skimmer, can a extrenal one put beside the tank itself?,,

Best Regards,

Giritharan

If I use a weipro skimmer, I will need to place the pump in the tank. Is there a way to run the skimmer and the pump outside the tank, with no sump?

I was thinking of that too...but people I have asked all told me that the protein skimmer must be placed above the tank....if your water output is directly going into the tank.

Always something more important than fish.

Read the above post again.....

paiseh... :P

Oops my mistake too... :P

So I can have the pump + skimmer outside the tank, but must be above the tank rite? I am designing a setup, I was thinking of setting up the chiller and the skimmer on the top rack. (It is not a show tank setup). So should be able to do so rite?

Wow..your rack should be strong to be able to support a chiller! You can add a refugium on top too...so that water coming out from the skimmer flows into the refugium..then from the refugium back into the tank... :eyebrow:

Always something more important than fish.
