just wondering how often should i change the water in my tank. and should the salt water be bubbled or just let to rest before adding into the tank? thanks.

once every 2 weeks maybe.. hmmm let your water run for a few days.. weeks in possible then add salt to it and let it run for some more days then change.. as ltast thats what i do

Or you can simple buy the SW from the farm and use it for your water change.

Bought some sea water last week and i did some testing to it before putting it to my tank.

Salinity : Good

KH : 6

Calcium: 300

Ammonia: No

Nitrite : No

Nitrate : Very small

Sorry, I could not remember the exact figure on those measurement.

Overall i feel not too bad and it is cheaper than mixing yourself.

When using sea salt mix, what does it mean by aeration? Is it after mixing the salt with water then leaving it for about 8 hours?

Aeration is juz air-ing the salt water...

Leaving it overnite is a slow but and FOC way of airing it lah... If u impatient den can juz use powerhead or airpump to drive the water...

i always leave it overnite....appox more than 12hrs b4 introduce to tank hehehehe....just enviromental air only..no pump used hehehe

During the first year, I change 15% weekly. Now into my second year, I'm cutting down to 15% every two weeks.

I use DI water for my salt mix and introduce into my tank right away. No waiting or bubbling at all.
