SRC Member jc85 Posted September 18, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 18, 2003 Please do not flame me if I ask this questions but here goes..... SRC Member regularguy Posted September 18, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted September 18, 2003 the question is quite vague.... what do you want from the LFS? do you want someone who can give you good advise and doesn't try to pull a fast one from you? or do you want to buy a particular kind of coral which only some LFS carry? or perhaps you want the cheapest place to go to buy your LS or accessories? But for a newbie I think the best is to go for a reliable and trustworthy LFS which doesn't give you shit or try to psycho you to buy something. There are two shops I recommend strongly. 1)Marine Life (boss is Henry) at hong leong gardens in West coast rd. 2)Paradiz Reef (boss is edwin/Liew/Anthony) at 1 balastier rd. These are two shops I trust will not con newbies and will give very good advice when asked nicely. My Humble 4ft tank

SRC Member jc85 Posted September 19, 2003 Author SRC Member Share Posted September 19, 2003 This thread might help http://www.sgreefclub.com/forum/index.php?...?showtopic=3443 Thks panlee. There is something I am looking for. To answer regular question; 1) do you want someone who can give you good advise and doesn't try to pull a fast one from you? 2) or do you want to buy a particular kind of coral which only some LFS carry? 3) or perhaps you want the cheapest place to go to buy your LS or accessories? I believe most newbie will like to know all these 3 info. Maybe we should do an official poll (if its not against the rule in this forum). personally I'll like to know all these things abt those LFS in Singapore. 1) Doesn't give misleading advice 2) Have most Live Stock 3) HAve most marine accessories (price maybe too sensitive, IMO) 4) Best tank display (gd for newbie as reference) 5) Most easily accessible (including operational hrs) Cheers JC Earth Conservation Blog My Marine Blog For All Sengkang Residents
