the blacks ones that i've seen are supposedly not meant for piping water. they are to be used as electrical conduit casings.

I was about to buy some from the hardware shop the other day, until I asked for some Tjoints for the pipes and they showed me a t-pipe with holes for screws. not sure if there pipes can fit the Tjoints for the waterpipes, but even if can, means u have black pipes with grey joints.

yup those are for electrical wirings. I have checked with my "mechanical" friend, he say the black PVC is available and selling same price as the grey one. Already told him to get some t-joint, elbow, and pipes for me.

Do check with the supplier if the black PVC can be used for Water or even Marine applications. As the additives added to the PVC may not be suitable or might leach into the system over time. The black additives they add is noramlly carbon black, others processing aids includes plasticisers, UV stabilisers, etc... Extra care must be taken especially with Heat from the MH.

Normal PVC will degrade outdoor under rain and shine conditions.

I have only seen one kind of black pipings for water (That goes under the sea) and there are NOT made of PVC. I cannot remember what material exactly but i think i saw the initial PE (PolyEthylene) on it.

Just my 2 cents.

have been to a lot of hardware shop to enquiry about the black pipings. Seems like singapore only uses grey and white PVC for water. The black pipe are only for electrical conduit... :(

maybe someone should become the local dealer for black PVC pipings.
