Got an orp controller and ozone from a bulk order. Have been running the controller for 2-3 month.

However after abt 1 month of usage, my orp reading has been giving me value of above 450mv. As i set my ozone to run at 400mv, this means that my ozone has been sitting there since the 1st month.

Yesterday, went to another reefer house and have some good discussion with him. I was told to do maintaince every month on the orp probe. I was also advise to soak the probe in vinegar.

Can orp user share on the way to clean the probes?

Thanks

don't soak your probe in vinegar or distill water. it is not good for your probe. you can get the Redox Potential Calibration Solution 475mv.

i also have the same problem. but after soaking the probe into the calibration solution (confirm my probe is working well). cleaned it and put back into my sump. now my reading stay at 320mv. before that it was 420mv and my ozonizer seat there and so nothing for 2 months :P now my ozonizer is working hard

This solution will more or less indicate the performance of your ORP probe e.g. when to do maintenance or replacement...etc
