everybody for the tutorial on how to frag a mushie.

Was about to post a new thread to ask the same thing.

1 question though.

Will camel shrimp eat the split mushie ?

My camel have ate anemones from sea and

recently chewed up my fan worm very badly.

I feed them every night. Don't understand why

they are creating such havoc in the tank.

Try not to restrain frags too much, if possible don't restrain them at all. They recover faster that way..bacterial infections occur more often you restrain them.

ok i'v come across a few articles on splitting mushrooms..

1) cut off from the base

2) cut like pizza , like what other bro mentioned here. but please bear in mind, each splitted mushrooms must comes with the "mouth" , or else 99% will melt away. ie, when u cut the mushroom into half, also include half of the mouth. if 4 , then u hv to cut the mouth into 4 pieces as well.

in short, each pieces should have a mouth.

3) use protective net/fish net to cover your mushrooms on a LR. this is to prvent other fish/inverts disturb them.

4) just sit down and relax and watch them grow

for me i prefer let them split naturally .. hehe but my green mushrooms only splited once.. hehe
