hi guys,i might be asking to much questions, srry about that, anyway

my butterfly fishes(only 2)are actind weirdly,i bought the copperband butterfly after the unknown butterfly,(i still dun know the ID),the unknown butterfly was happily swimming around while the copperband was hiding behind the rocks all the time, now the unknown butterfly is hiding behind the rock and never comes out,(even to eat)the copperband is like swimming around happily, but when there is a commotion it quickly goes near the unkown butterfly(kind of protecting it).

the conclusions were made after several days of obsevation.

here are some pics....

the one circled black is the unknown and the blue is the copperband.

for now these are the pics i could get,i will try to get clearer pics

Firstly my condolances.

Secondly, I agree with Jem. Think your unknown fish is confirm stressed that's why hidding behind the rock. And regards to why the copperband swim near your unkown fish when there's a commotion. Its quite simple. The place where your unkown fish is hidding is probably the safest place known to any fish to shield from danger that's why your copperband also hides there when there is any sign of danger. :P

Just my thoughts and a few years with fish :P

Mr Crabs,

I would suggest u do read-ups and gain knowledge in this hobby first before u actually go more in-depth into reefkeeping, and not just coming in here to ask ask ask questions and questions and more questions.

I'm so appalled when u mentioned your unknown butterfly. How can u keep it when it's ID is unknown to u?! Apparently u just bought or "take" on impulse, when something goes wrong, u came in to "ask" questions and blame the thread being pointless when nobody answered your supposedly "questions", which no one knows what u're asking anyway.

And keep seeing ur msgs whenever there're threads of people giving away free stuffs, like O-ba-sang hankering after free gifts. How do u expect them to feel assured to give someone who don't even know the ID of the fish he bought?

If I'm the one giving away my fish, although I most prob won't get to see the fish anymore, I'll still want to be assured it's in safe hands.

Hope this can inspire u to be a more responsible reefkeeper :)
