Is the lighting enough?????????????????

hi guys!! Im not realy sure if My lighting is enough for the

anemones because the light cme with no identification,the brighter the better

or the darker the better,FOR a starter of keeping anemones what do you

prescribe me to buy??

i have posted former posts about anemones etc. and i have learnt alot thanks to

you guys,EXPERTS i might say.Here are some pictures of my tank about the lighting,my tank is about 28 to 30 degrees celsius,

Erm,actually anemones shld be left to those who are more experienced..I think they require high lightings,similar to that of sps but nevertheless,regular feedings may also help in ur anemone "blooming"...

BTW,wad lights are u using?T5s or FL?

Fl stands for fluroscent(sorry duno spelling) tubes ,those that we use for household lightings.

I think u shld take care of ur water quality first,get a better skimmer,then upgrade ur lights to T5s

anyway,i want to keep clowns,hehe,mine is a small tank so wish to keep smaller types of fishes,and anemones look nice when clowns host it,and whats the problem with my skimmer?isnt it enough for a 1.5 feet tank,anyway im not a expert reefer,i just keeping as a small hobby,

when i grow up then wish to keep bigger and professional tanks.

FL light is normally T8, if I'm not wrong. Is it very fat tubes?

please forget about keeping anemones until you have master the basic first....lighting is important for anemone but its only one of the factor to consider....

things like flow, water quaility .....etc needs to be taken care of....you mention that your lights is enough to keep algae.....does it tell you a lot more of your current state of the tank???? also its likely you are going to kill the anaome resulting in it possiblity crashing your entire system....you are a poor student am i right? it is really a waste of $$$ to have an ananmoe kill off your entire lifestock.....

Im not poor and i dun want to keep them until i grow bigger...just wanna learn more about them thats all....i not very good at lightings .

after asking many times i learn more...see now i know that the water flow also must be good...this is how student go by asking teachers questions...its a better way to learn.....i mean what is this website meant for....i didn't like the idea of you saying me poor..its like discouraging...just like the person whom called me a begger.....

so i dont mind your sayings...you must be a senior....and im am still a junior.....expecting more help then discouragement...

Tineng dun really meant that you are poor, he just generalise most student are poor. Like we all used to be, surviving on pocket money.

I personally have my best time as a student, not money for aquarium but really love fish. No money for recreation but we create some at the least cost. AND WE ARE REALLY HAPPY.

Do not feel bad with Tineng thread, he really meant it well. He is more worried for your money and LS, more than you as he is more experience.

Look brighter than last time... but really can't tell, if is the fat tube again, sorry not enuf.

Okay, back to basic, you need lights, but need to do it the cheaper ways.

AquaZ T5 x 2 = 25 SGD

E-Ballast x 1 = 19 SGD

Wires and stuff = 10 SGD

If really wanna risk it, go buy a BTA. If not enuf lights, it will expand abnormally. It will last a couple of month with not much harm but cannot last too long. But if water not good enuf, sure die one okay.
