Velvet

Hi,

Would like to know more about this disease,

When the fish body is covered with a white cotton wool or mucus thingy, is it a symptom of velvet?

-How does this disease comes about?(does it comes about due to poor water parameters or does it comes from new fishes tat was infected in the 1st place n when we introduced it into the tank?)

-Any ways to cure it? currently it seem kinda of deadly..

-Any ways or things tat can be used to prevent it?

I did a search on this forum n couldnt find much info on tis, will go to the library to dig out some info meanwhile would appreciate if anyone can share info on tis disease.
