True percula pair....

I bot a True Percula pair from a LFS....after go back...this 2 fellow fight like nobody business....is there advise or suggestion how to nurture them back to a loving pair????

Some people told me temperature change can cos them to start fighting...is it truE????

were they together when you bought them?

i had an experience when a shady person sold me a "supposely pair of true percula"..they were in a plastic bag with containers seperating them..

suspected that something was amiss and asked them why he need to seperate them when they were suppose to be a pair..the reply was that due to transportation purpose...when i place them in my tank..they started beating the hell out of each other..had to seperate them..and try to pair them up again...

well..its my wrong to not study more about perculas..but i also took it as a well lesson learned

The trick to pairing True Perculas is to get 2 of different sizes.. the bigger one will subsequently turn into a female and become more aggressive whilst the smaller one will remain the submissive male. Of course, the 2 must be introduced into the tank together.

Well at least this worked for me.. I bought mine from Ah Beng's, where the 2 of them were packaged in 2 seperate bags altogether, obviously not a pair.

Anyway, how much did your LFS sell the 'pair'?

The best is to get a mated pair, a pair that have spawned before, but then again, people still can con you that they actually mated before..

I bought 6 of my fishes together, all around the same size. Unfortunately 1 passed away due to unknown reasons?

Subsequently 2 of them just break away from the group and those 2 are inseparable ever since.

No luck with the remaining 3 who dun pair, but nevertheless they're peaceful ard each other in the same tank.

Think u may not have got a true pair from the LFS. Care to name it who "conned" u??
