Finally, after some carefully planning..take abt 1 week to do up the internal pipings.This is how it looks like

Tank spec: 3 x 2.5 X 2

Sump : 2 X 1.5 X 1.5

Equipment: Eheim 1260 for return pump

Haliea 1/2 hp

H&S Skimmer

Lighting : 1 X 150w MH

2 X 25w Blue

Are you connecting the second outlet in the pipe to your skimmer and subsequently to your chiller?Is that a euroreef?

No , there is a T-jointed solely for down flow water directly into the skimmer. As for the Chiller, there will be a another return pump drawing water in straight into the main tank. The skimmer u see is a H&S Skimmer. here, adapting pumpless concept inside my sump to miniature heat exchange

Are you using the H&S A110-F2000 External Skimmer?Is there a flowrate problem with it being plumped directly to your down flow?

Sorry if im sounding nonsensical.Im running a 39c fever now....

I mean sine the skimmer is connected to the down flow pipe directly and the downflow is spilted into 2 outlets.wouldnt that affect the performance of the skimmer?

H&S skimmer operates differently, conventional skimmer draws the water in thru the pump as such,water pass thru and out of the channel cylinder in a faster manner. AS for H&S, the pump is attached to the cylinder to prolong water catchment inside the cylinder for better skimmer.

U 're right! The water flow rate coming in do not play a critical role in this model. Correct me if I'm wrong..fellow H&S users

If im not wrong,yours is the external model.what about those in-sump type?the pump is submerged in water.
