Hi, I looking to buy RO/DI water, in 25l containers, mainly to topup for evaporation. I use abt 1l per day. So if there is anyone staying in the east of SG, I'll come and pick up and also provide containers.

I can take up to 2 containers each time. Pls quote via PM or here your price/liter. All I need is that you stay in the east and that the TDS is 0. Thx very much. :)

RO/DI dun give you a reading of zero TDS... the closest would be distilled water... ;)

People do not plan to fail; Often they just fail to plan...

Wat I do to prevent myself from tearing my hair out... My stress remedy...

I forget to add that this will be a regular thing, and not 1 time... my tank is abt 150l only, and I can't justify the need to purchase an entire unit. I understand that some units can produce abt 50G/day, so if this can help in the defraying of your maintenance, then great. ! Alternatively does anyone want to pool together and share a unit... then I'm all ears. :) (pls say your staying east... prefeably TAmpines/pasir ris)

Thx.

Vincerie & madmac....

I havent used a RO/DI before but from my understanding is that RO/DI only removes most of the dissolved solubles.... When I was using a DI, it usually reads about 30, the TDS meter that I have only measures in multiples of 10, so reading is only 10,20,30 or 40 and so on... my tapwater typically reads 70-80...:)

The reason I mentioned that RO/DI does not give a zero reading is I understand that RO/DI cannot remove everything in the water.... probably after RO/DI, it has a very low reading that the handheld meter cannot read due to its reading in multiples of 10....

Hence, my apologises if I've made a wrong statement, due to my lack of experience in using a RO/DI unit but I'm pretty sure RO/DIs are not 100%... maybe there are stuffs in the water that it doesn't remove, but the TDS is zero... :)

Rav, no problem at all. :P I'm also very new to all this... super clean water stuff, thats why I ask.

I saw a unit a Reborn last weekend, looks really neat, light and simple... it looks like its a two stage one, with the first stage a micron filter and the 2nd a DI resin. The more complex ones, like the great review given by Vincerie, looks real solid. No offense to anyone, which explains price difference of course, coming back to quality vs value... It wud appear that the reborn unit will require you to replace the resin more often as it doesn't have a carbon filter and an RO filter, further I'm not sure what the waste ratio is.

Curious to know what anyone thinks.

thx

I am trying to DIY one now. Will let you guys know when i'm done.

Madmac, one unit doesn't cost too much compare to the price and trouble for buying the ready prepared. Do consider. Just my 2 cents.
