Which pump to buy for weipro 2011

hi guys,

seek your advise on which capacity of pump to get for weipro 2011.

on the sticker of the skimmer it says 300l/hr. but i read before that it requires

much more than that to be really efficient.

anyone used before weipro 2011? which pump did u buy?

jus wanted to confirm... the sticker says 300 G/H. At 0 head lost, you can get good wet skimmate with 1000/1200 l/h pump.

I'm using a Ehiem 1253 for it now.

Using Atman 104 pump for my 2011.

can one pump act as a return pump at the same time for weipro skimmer ? coz i dun wish to use 2 pumps ler.. hehe

btw, 1000-2000 L/hour enough to act as a return pump + powering the weipro at the same time ?

is the the more powerful the powerhead is, the denser the skimmate is ?

Dont think it would be a good idea to split the return pump with your skimmer. I think it would cause a deficiency to the amount of water returning to the main tank.

I've heard that its better to have a slightly higher pumper than stated to run the skimmer. So far my 2011 is producing 'essence of chicken' in my skimmer cup.

what's the flow rate of ur pump to ur skimmer ? and how big is ur tank ?

yup, used the same nick so ppl would know its the same person.

Actually to think of it, really weird to have a freshwater nick in a marine forum.

My skimmer input is modified using pvc pipes and tubing instead of the plastic u-shape.
