never seen seagrasses in local shore?? (ive not)

Halophila sp. can be seen growing in our local muddy shore (muddy pool) at low tide...really low tide....

So far didn't see any at beach.

Anyway, not possible to go out that far.

I'll be drowning in mud.

u rite..got this 'longkang' smell ....everytime u step on the the mud. but is not worth it.......not just macroalgae ...but to see that our local beaches(east side) been litter by broken glass.....can see this clearly at low tide...

Hi all.

Only place I rememner seeing these marco-algae is Chek Jawal and long grass found at Sentosa - down the highest cliff located entry into the strait of WTC. Long grass are actually not macro algae. It need muddy nutrient - kind of plant with roots.

I've seen long seagrass and other interesting macroalgae at Labrador park. Best to go during low tide. Cheers~

Hmm..think the protection is for corals and other marine species with low natural turnover rate (the rate at which they replace themselves). I don't think they will fine you for collecting algae or seagrass which are actually quite prolific. It's not like you're taking them by the truckload.
