Hi Bros,

I've bought a coral somedays back, should be a toadstool Leather, I think. It look similar to the attached.

I put it on the rock at first but later it move to the sand and hide itself betw the rock. Everything seems fine and it opens nicely at night. But yesterday when I bought back a coral banded shrimp, it hide most of its body inside the sand and this morning its gone or totally hide inside the sand (it always do that in the morning and come out again in the night before I bought the shrimp).

Tonight when I'm back from work there is still no sign of the coral. Any bros can advise me what happen to the coral or how can I lure it out from the sand so that at least I know that it's there and alive.

Many thanks.

The way you describe your coral seems to similar to how a Sea Pen will react. I have never heard of a leather coral retracting under the sandbed. Does it have a long soft phallic-like body?

Thanks AT n SpiderOne,

yap, from the way you describe it seems to be a sea pen, the attached photo is copied from fishdomin of a leather coral.

this morning it finally comes out of the sand. I'll try to take a picture tonight so that bros here can confirm that it's a sea pen. By the way, what and how should I feed it with?

Thanks.
