nuisance algae

hi 2 all reefer...

i juz make a 20% water change... the next morning i found a lot of algae on my glass tank... thinking of getting fluidized reactor n rowaphos, does remove all my algae or i muz scrap it off by myself???

Besides regularly removing those algae on the glass manually, you should see what is causing the increase in the growth. Overfeeding? strong lighting?

If you added the tap water without letting it cure overnight(unless u have RO unit), think it will increase the algae growth. Believed theres some nutrients in the tap water that causes it.

For me i usually mixed the water with salt, de-chlorinate the day before water change, it does helps. Unless you can afford those RO units. Adding Rowas helps too.

i don't get it.. how can algae explode overnight? You sure that happened? Also, you have not described the algae...
