Wooden Rack?

But will wooden racks hold the weight of the tanks? We are talking about more than 300 kgs, you know. :ooh:

so in this case you must check out the specs of the wooden rack....those at Ikea has a specified loading ;)

I think it could be tougher than cabinet in some instances...some cabinet look nice outside because of all the formica...then inside all softboard

Most definately.We are talking about solid wood here and not plywood.A stand with 3 by 2 inch wooden support can withstand 300kg without problem.Of course,the type of wood use plays an important part.

btw, isn't it betta to go for stainless steel stand rather than having a good quality wooden rack in terms of cost n convenience?

I understand that stainless steel will still rust after some time. Furthermore, the cost may not be any lower than a wooden rack. IMO, perhaps wood is easier to 'decorate' compared to stainless steel.
