what does it do? how long must i use it? how 2 monitor if there is no orp monitor? what will happen if i overuse it? what is the best reading? is it connected 2 the airvalve of a skimmer?

plz need help 2 fix out this question... get ozonizer soon...

what does it do?

Ozone is a special form of oxygen, an allotropic form. It has an extremely high oxidative power (over 2700 mv redox) and can, therefore, be used to our advantage to clean up the water in our tanks. Ozone oxidizes many unwanted compounds, especially organic ones, breaking them down into different compounds that do not affect the water quality as much as the original ones, or can be removed, for example, by protein skimmers.

how long must i use it?

well it depends

no hard n fast rule ... prob 4-6hrs ? juz make sure that no ozone gets into the main tank , by using activated carbon

if yr corals start bleachin den u better stop the ozonizer or the fish starts dyin 1 by 1

what will happen if i overuse it?

the redox level will keep goin up n kill everytink inside

what is the best reading?

well it depends on yr tank say smtink like 370-390 ?

i set mine at 350mv

yesh , to the air intake of the skimmer

using ozone resistance tubing will be good if not u need to keep changin

n when ozone leaks gosh it smells really bad pungent smell

pls pls rem to use ACTIVATED CARBON

it traps ozone effectively

bro, i will show you how to connect up the ozone to your skimmer and the use of activate carbon. i will tell u how to use it even if you don't have OPR controller (it is good to have ORP controller from the long term use)

by the time it happens, too late already. when i started use the ozonizer without ORP, i used timer to run it. 15mins every 4 hours. i used my star polyps as a indicator this is the 1st corals will start to respond if your ozone run too long... they will just close up anyway, i feed my fish everyday so i don't have to worry overdose it into my tank

how to use ozone with carbon? Is it just leave the carbon in the sump or use a FR or waste collector?

i use ozonizer with my skimmer. so, i place my carbon at the outlet of my skimmer before the water enter into the display tank
