Hi pals,

My KH had drop to 6.7 .... a mistake on my side as I had

not measure it for a while :(

I've noticed it when 1 of my plate and a yuma starts to look

stress for no reason. Then take out test kit to measure :(

For the past 3 days, I'm been using Kent Pro Buffer dKH

as instructed (10ml to 40gallon) per day. I have not seen

any immediate result yet, as in the KH is still at 6+ as of

last night.

Is this the right thing to do? Pls advice. :thanks:

cheers

I dunno KH is needed by any livestock. I only aware its kind of "safe-guard" to prevent high pH swing.

Also chk your calcium and magnesium, maybe you overdose calcium, or low in magensium, having an ionic imbalance.

extensive water chg should help in these chemical problem at some extend.

You should check your Ca level b4dosing kalk again. Kalk increase both Ca and KH.

Maybe your calcium is at 500ppm and your kh at 7. Dosing kalk will increase both. Which is not what you wan as Ca is already very high. Instead you should dose stuffs to increase the KH only.
