Going BB!

Hi there everyone!

I'm going BB. its taken a long time to make this decision, but i'm glad i've finally decided to.

i think some of you might be aware of this, but i first started reefing after stumbling upon wetwebmedia on the internet, so i grew up on the DSB methodology, and really believed in its benefits. when i first began reefing, nitrates was the problem, and not phosphates. well, now with the skimmers available to us, phosphates is the far bigger issue, and i can think of no other solution to this than going BB.

i didnt really believe all that was said about BB initially, and thought then that Bomber was really cocky, but its all making sense now, so forgive me for having argued so persistantly for DSBs! hahah.

well, i'm going to need some time to cook my rocks, and will need more rocks, so wanna ask if any bros here have any cooked rocks to sell, and how long is the average cooking time that you guys have required to achieve a period where theres no more organic crud coming out of your cooking rocks.

also, is anyone using acrylic instead of starboard to line the bottom?

if i use starboard, is it ex, and where can i find it?

and oh, lastly, just to share with everyone how happy i am, my gf is going to chip in for a beckett for my birthday! so i'm really thankful for that.

cheers everyone!

ian

thanks for sharing that bit of info. my first reaction was oh no, but i guess thats to be expected. i had half a mind to not cook and just run the tank without feeding for a month or so and see how it goes, but well, share try cooking for the period my tank takes to be finished. just got my bullet beckett, so am really excited as ive never had such a large skimmer. well, tank vacumming for me for a while then!
