help me know about magnesium and coralline algae

magnesium is food of coralline algae? someone tell me like that and help for deep purple colour of coralline algae...that is true please tell me thank you so much .

I think a cheap way would be to dose kalk and watch your light levels- a low actinic Fl combi worked well for me. But make sure you dont dump in too much kalk and jack the PH to killer levels.

The main reason why magnesium is related to coralline growth is that coralline algae imparts a lot of magnesium into their tissue and thus magnesium levels might become a limiting factor for coralline growth

So does that mean that as long as we dose kalk properly most likely coralline algae is achievable? thought kalk is mainly calcium related? So where does strontium and magnesium play a part?
