hi all, intend to get open water dive qualified soon, and i have a question..... because i wear specs,i have 2 options, either to wear contacts or to make a mask with the corrective lenses.i think making the mask is a better and safer option, and would like to know where i can get this done?as far as i know,MARES makes this, but can anyone recommend where to make e mask with corrective lenses? or advise on any other brands and the price to expect? :thanks::thanks:

i got mine for 100 bucks...........taiwanese brand

opposite golden mile complex at a shop call sports center something or wat.........

............

IMO, is better to wear contact lenses to diving..........

bcos when u get up frm water, u still can see and look ard, no need to search for ur spec again,.............

eyes irritation may depend on ur eyes. i myself dun feel tat irritating when salt water touches my eyes.

bring those eyesmo or wat to drip ur eyes n lenses lor.....

my fiancee wear contacts for diving.. her eyesight is much worst than urs, almost 900 per eye..but she uses contact lens..

i do not know which mask hermit paid for but if it is $100 with corrective lens, it is reasonably cheap.. otherwise, it is very expensive..

Some places u can check out are Lucky Plaza basement n concourse.

Also, in the event if ur mask had been stepped on or damaged, u hv better chance of getting a spare mask that is non-powered.. n u still can dive if u are wearing contacts.. otherwise.. i dun know how u gonna dive without being able to see clearly... i gather it would be like having the mask being fogged up the entire dive..

i remember paying for my mask with both corrective lens (4.5) for 100++ abit...not exceeding $150... got it last time from the dive shop opposite geylang east central swimming pool. But the design of the mask using those lens is quite limited.
