Probably due to noise reduction from digital cameras.

shoot slides lah. Cheaper in processing but film a bit on the high side lah. but the result is very satisfying

i suspect its your resolution. And I can see some halo on suntec city tower. did u apply USM ?

its the line beside the edge of the towers and durain I'm referring to. those are noise.

can be due to camera itself, or scanning or even too much use of unsharp mask in photoshop.

Perhaps, that kind of pixellation could also have been caused by too high a compression when saving in JPG format.

so far I got no problem using my 17" monitor leh..

office LCD, I noted some pixels..

alas, can't rescue it. It could be due to the details lost when u down saved in a lower size image for posting.

anyway, as long as the orginal images are alright, i guess you are on the way to having fun with photography.

just take note of your composition like horizon, distracting lights etc. Have fun.
