Leaky Aquabee for Calcium Reactor

Hi,

just noticed my Deltec CR is leaking 1 drop per 3 -5 sec from the face plate of the aquee bee circulation pump. Before I start thinking about getting a new sump and placing the whole unit inside, is there any way to correct this? I have removed the entire pump and press press here and there, but not much sue leh. Desperate liao.

No leh its more like where the body of the pump meets the aquabee front face plate. The connection between the actual recirc pump and the elbow of the CR is dry leh. Hope the picture is clearer.

Just guessing as I no longer own an aquabee pump. Stop the CR and take off the pump from the CR. Try to seperate the face plate from the body using a small flat head screw driver. After it comes off, have a look at the PVC fitting that goes into the pump (the one that has a venturi). Try to turn anticlockwise so that the fitting will come off. At the joint where the male threaded fitting of the pipes meets the female threaded fitting on the pump body, there should be a o-ring. Try changing that.

Ok problem fixed. Greased up the o ring with a bit of vaseline and now its running dry. Way excellent instructions, Weisoon. Described it to a T.
