Hi, how many have encountered this problem and has any success of nursing them back?Please share some experiences.According to henry, there is no cure for it.

Already removed it as its potentially fouling up the water.But keen to know if anyone encountered the same issue and managed to rescue it

FYI, starfish doesn't lasts long in an enclosed environment due to different nutritional requirements.

I have a sand sifter whom after putting in the tank for a week, it broke or rather shortened its 5 "legs" so that it could easily move around on the sand bed. Perhaps my rock work was too compact for its liking to manoeuvre. It's still in my tank after more then a year.

From personel experience? I had seen reefers with starfish almost as old as their tank.

my starfish is almost as old as my tank.. one of the first i put in after cycling.. mine broke a leg bout a week after introducing into the tank.. but the leg has since grew back..
