SRC Member framerunner Posted September 22, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2005 Hi guys, Do correct me if my understanding is wrong. 1) We use DI unit to remove chlorine, heavy metals, phospate and silicate before any topping up, mixing new salt from the tap water. 2) We use Fluidised reactor and put in media like Rowaphos to remove phospate and silicate on a 24x7 basis. If i only have $ to get either item, the question is which is a better and cheaper equipment to get?
SRC Member CalciumReef Posted September 22, 2005 SRC Member Share Posted September 22, 2005 You need the FR over the DI.DIonly remove whats in water but not in tank.So FR is more important.Best is to use both, there is no shortcut
