Sea Fans Again

Hi...I have been observing my sea fans..since I have been feeding them 3-4 times a day....I have noticed that when they are closed and when I try to get their polyps to extend..they respond better to zooplankton rather than phytoplankton in the water...does this mean they prefer more 'meaty' foods?

I place them at right angles to the water flow. :eyebrow:

Always something more important than fish.
