Do cleaner shrimps get stung?

Woke up this morning, found the smaller of my cleaner pair dead. The larger one still happily walking around the whole tank and eating the carcass. I'm suspecting the that in the middle of the night it got stung and siam to one part of the tank then after that just up lorry there. Possible?

I was thinking since the other one is fine...shouldn't be water parameters...in theory..but who knows...everything still fine though..just one dead shrimp..

Main thing is if anyone knows whether live shrimp will tio stun by anemone.

I bought 4 cleaner shrimps and now, I am left with 2.

Perhaps, it is just one of the very many mysteries of keeping a marine tank. Fishes disappear for no reason, missing shrimps etc.

How long have you kept the shrimps for?

The shrimps were doing well for about 2 months alredy...moulted a few times and all...thought everything was fine...then suddenly up lorry...then decided to just feed it to my anemone...ah the cycle of life..

I had the same problem. My shrimps were with me for about 1-2 months, then just died.. I decided to leave it in the tank to become snail or shrimp food.

guess some of things we just won't know...not everything is within our control.But just makes you wonder if you've been doing things right the whole time, then what happened....guess lucky that tank never crash instead.

Sometime ago I tried 3 times putting some cleaner shrimps, White spot shrimp and even snapping shrimps, but everytime they didn't even survive a day or 2. Then I

saw the shrimps kena wagged by the Singapore angle that I have, so confirmed the Angle was the murderer caught red handed. Then there was a white spot out break

so all fished mati, so now no Singapore angle, i bought 2 cleaner 2 white spot (red) shrimps & 1 snapping shrimp (purple pincer) they all survived well and been growing.

But the snapping could be dangerous, cos I bought a purple fire goby yesterday

relatively small, it use to sleep on the bottom, today no trace of my goby, so suspect the snapping shrimp snapped the goby, still investigating any FBI or CIA brother out there to help ?
