Maybe he meant Beckett Skimmer or a new improve version? ;)

i have used DIY Coil Denitrator. Used it for around 9months. Took around 2 months before the output registered 0 nitrates. no deniballs or feeding done.

i saw it done by another bro here before, just copied it lah. what i did was to buy a 4" pvc and end caps about 2.5' long. then bought 50' of 1/4" plastic hose. then, very slowly and with lot and lots of patience, coil the hose inside the PVC. start from the top slowly coil down to the bottom. then secure the end near the bottom. i added some silicon to keep it in place. then bore 2 holes in the top end cap, 1 to let the other and of the hose to go through. the other hole, put a another hose that goes inside for around .5"

be very careful not to have any kinks in the hose, cause you'll have a lot of problem to drive it.

put some bioballs in the inside of the PVC, in the middle of the coiled hose.

now attach the end caps.

you'll have 2 hoses sticking out. 1 is the short 1 while the other is the one connected to the long hose. the one connected to the long hose is your input while the other is the output.

i used a Sicce micra to push water in through the input and let the water coming out of the output drip back to my sump.
