Brudders is a Seio 820 too powerful for a 2feet tank?

just need your comments!! :whistle

It depends on your placement.

I know of a reefer here that have tried a Tunze 6060 in his 2ft.

FYI the Seio's 820 pushes 820l/hr while the Tunze pushes a whopping 6000l/hr.

Generally most reefers will maintain a minimum of 10 - 15 times of water turnover in a average reef tank. ;)

i suggest getting a few maxijet1200 instead cause its small and compact. Extremely good for small/nano tanks.

You can use a tunze, without a sand bed of course.

I love Maxijets. Used to be my favourite choice before Seios is available. ;)

I love Maxijets. Used to be my favourite choice before Seios is available. ;)

i'm also using a sawn off maxi attached to a timer...

only problem is that even with it sawn off I still find the flow is a little too concentrated.. would prefer a wider angle..

i believe the seio 820 pushes out 3 to 4000 lit/hr not 820 lit/hr

i'm currently using the Seio 820 now, but after just 3 days my polyps look much better and my finger mushroom has started to seem like there is lots more polyps and they seem very very healthy....i've adjusted to the lowest and there is no bubbles cos the when i open them it seems the whole 2ft tank is flooded with it...can't seem to see nothing...

i'm looking at only choosing those corals which need medium or high current movement if i'm going to buy any more...

:thanks: guys for all the help

Hope my experience in using a SEio 820 can help rest.

that refer tried a 6100 on his 2 footer.....:lol:

12000l/h .....820 pushes 820 gallon/hr....don't think thats 6000l/hr.....more like 3000-4000l/hr.....

anyway seio is a good choice if you not into SPS.....but i find the product a bit unrealiable....my shaft broke after 6 month......same goes for Rio2100, RioHF14....while the cost of getting the replacement is still very much cheaper then getting a tunze, you do have to make a long trip to the authorize distributor..... :(
