Argh. I think its too late. Noticed that your styrofoam under the tank is not even. It may cause uneven distribution of the tank weight.

Just a point to take note. ;)

Overall nice setup, are you using an overflow box or pipe? The pics make me feel liket restarting my tank again. :lol:

I tot it might be okaie as it is only some small parts only... Will it poses any risk in the future?

Using a overflow pipe... Working well but sometime got ###### sound... :lol:

It would be dangerous in my opinion because if the weight is not distributed properly, it defeats the purpose of having the styrofoam in the first place. It would be catasatropic if the tank starts to tilt to the front after a period of time.

To minimise the ###### sound in the overflow pipe, use an end cap with a small hole drilled to the air pipe.

Isn't it too fast to add in LS into your tank? Or did you take the pictures before but decided to post them now?

:pinch::pinch:

Hope it will not tilt to the front... If it does den i will have to empty the tank lor...

The ###### sound not very obvious... Will ignore it for the moment... lol..

The tank is empty about two weeks with LRs... The LRs are from mature tank... And within the two weeks, i never detect any ammonia spikes... Both Ammonia and Nitrite is undetectable before i added any LS in...

hi there terryz, nice to hear about your tank's progess. looks like a lot of planning went into your setup. like the plenum sandbed in the sump- gives you easy access to the sandbed should you need to do maintenance on it, and helps with denitrification.

the black sun corals dont look too great though i'm afraid. have you been feeding it? try dissolving some frozen mysids in a bowl with freshwater, then pour away the freshwater, and top up with some seawater, then squirt this seawater juice over the sun corals. they should open up within half an hour, then squirt some mysids into them. if they dont feed theyll die ya.

cheers bro,

ian

ps: if you need a feeding apparatus (syringe with hard tubing), i can give you one free ya just pm
