hi have any one successfully keeping regal angel in 4 ft tank?

i have ever kept once, before, for 5 mths. But 1 day when I introduce new fish into the tank, it got infected with the new fish syndrome. One lesson to learn is to quarantine new fishes................

You kept the Red-Sea Regal Angel or the White-bellied Regal Angel?

Note: Regal angels are found ranging widely over rich coral areas thus the colour varies.

Regal angel from Red Sea will have intense yellow and blue colouration. They're also called the Yellow belly Regal. Survival rate in aquarium higher.

Regal angel from Indo will have dull colouration and poor to adapt to aquarium. They're also called the white/ grey belly Regal.

Regal angel from Phillipines will have less inetense yellow and blue compared to the Red sea. Regal from Phillipines also have yellow belly. Not sure abt this fella survival rate.

Ya, the red sea regal angel is much much easier to keep than compared to the white-bellied regal angel..

I have seen many reefers successfully keep red sea regal but NONE have successfully keep a white-bellied regal.

i've tried 1 white belly but wasn't successfull, few months ago i bought a yellow belly and it survive until now

Hi, i want to add a little correction about indo regal angel. It is correct that most people only know that indo regal are white/grey belly but it is not 100% right, because on one or may be in few small capture area, we can find a yellow belly regal, and this regal are very difficult to distinguish between red sea or indo regal. I have indo yellow belly regal in my tank for more than 2 years, and eat on various kind of food.

This regal have good survival rate in the tank, and infact nearly as good as red sea regal. If you can pick a healty and unpoisonus fish, it will eat in less than a week. I can say this because it happen in my regal and other indo yellow belly regal that i choose for some of my friend.

Always avoid white/grey belly regal at any cost.

From what i've read, this angel is consider reef safe eventhough i'm not experience it by myself because my tank is FOWLR tank. I believe some bro here can help u.

I'VE READ AN ARTICLE TAT REGAL ANGEL IS SAFER COMPARE TO OTHER ANGELS IN REEF TANK, BUT IF THEY DO PICK ON CORALS THEY USUALLY PICK AT THE SAME CORAL EVERYTIME
